Allah is my God whom I've been taught about since little. As a kid, I've never really thought deeply about this matter, as in referring to how my relationship with Allah was that of "I can't do that, Allah will get mad!" only.

Now that I've matured, and have dived myself into my religion properly, I've learned that it's not only about telling myself that I should stray away from sins, but also to be thankful to Allah for everything.

Not only do I like Allah, but I LOVE Allah. I love Him because He makes my prayers come true. I love Allah because He created everything so beautifully.

Looking at the stars, the night skies, the trees, the seas, and all of His creations, it is only right that I am thankful to Him. Allah is amazing. Without Him, I wouldn't have been able to have the feeling of calmness looking at the sky when I was stressed. Without Him, I wouldn't have been able to see, eat, drink, or even be writing this right now.

Thank you, Allah, for allowing me to study here, and to experience being in a good environment.

Thank you for letting me study at MRSM during my Form 4. If I hadn't gone there, I might have never been able to make my parents proud and experience being in a good, healthy environment.

I am grateful for everything He has provided me. Excuse me for using other than English, but sometimes I feel better when expressing love using my first language, "terima kasih Allah, Yana sayang Allah."

Mama is my favourite person. I love my mama most. She has done so much for me to be able to study in a good university. She works, and provides me lots of things. Often, she'd buy me things that I didn't think I'd need, but it's actually something I need most of the time. For example, she bought me tissues and wet tissues when I got into IIUM.

I thought, "Hm, I could've bought that at the mart," but later on, I ended up rarely going to the mart since I was lazy, and used the wet tissues and dry tissues my mom bought me. So from here, I concluded that mama knows a lot of things that are best for me.

Whether I am a toddler, grown, childish or mature, I will always need my mama.

Thank you mama for letting me study here, and supporting me throughout my life. Without my mama, I probably would've turned into a worm. I am most grateful because she is the reason I am able to worry about my grades and my studies only instead of worrying about taking care of my siblings and my school fees.

Without her, I wouldn't have much motivation to pursue my dream, and feel a mother's love.

Thank you mama, I love you lots.

My abah. He's the one that has taught me a lot of things, including how to use a printer, PowerPoint and a lot that is related to gadgets.

I have heard about how much he loved me since I was little. I guess you could say I am my abah's girl. Despite being someone who is not much of an expressive nature, he expresses his love towards me in certain, special ways. For example, he would download and print my documents for me, without me asking him to. For example, 3 months ago(July), when I got offered a scholarship program under YTP MARA, which is A-level Sains : Pre-Ireland, my dad ended up downloading and typing the most on the documents, which I am really grateful for.

If it was not for him, I would not have been able to do a lot of things by myself easily. My abah also bought us Wi-fi and would suggest us good gadgets.

My abah knows a lot of things. I love how my abah would listen to me yapping about things even if it did not concern his personal life or important matters. Like how I yap to him about my love for Fungi and cool sea creatures I watched from a documentary, he would always listen.

Listening is not just in the form of being quiet while the other person talks, but also engaging in a conversation in the same topic. And that is what my abah did. He'd converse, and ask questions because he is curious about the things I talk about. Not only that, he would also sometimes add further to the information I acquired from his knowledge. Often too, I think my abah is very cool.

Thank you abah for giving me fatherly love, and being there for me. I love you, abah.

I love fungi. One of my dreams is to study further, like having research of my own or joining research about fungi. I think this creature is truly fascinating and one of a kind. Besides trees, these beautiful, colourful creatures consist of threadlike fibre called mycelium that allows them to communicate with one another through electrical impulses.

Isn't that amazing?

From a documentary I watched, called Fantastic Fungi, there were subtle hints that Fungi may actually have a cure for cancer. A drug known as psilocybin from Fungi has actually been tested on humans with mental illnesses, and it seemed to work well! Depression was cured, and surprisingly, the cancer that was in one of the patients tested also disappeared, meaning that it has been cured completely.

At first, psilocybin was only meant and known to have properties that could cure mental illnesses, but this contradicted with the fact psilocybin worked on cancer patients.

This means that maybe Fungi can work in the medical field in more ways than just mental illnesses.

I wish, and pray to be able to study this.

It would be amazing. That is why, I am so thankful to Allah for giving me the chance to see His creations and appreciate them.

I love Fungi!

The boy on your right is Justin. His Chinese name is Lee Xian Bin, but we call him Justin.

Justin has been my friend since 3rd grade(9 years old). We used to be in the same class, but we were not that close to each other back then. It was in SMK later on when we became good friends.

Justin is someone like a brother to me. He's annoying, but I annoy him a lot too. He's a good listener, though he is harsh sometimes but that is just his nature.

Though he is weird in some ways, he is still a good friend. Why? Because he is someone who gives me honest opinions. Sometimes it is not something I want, but it is something I need.

Perhaps we are friends because we share the same humour and interests, but whenever I have something to complain, I would complain to him, other than to my parents.

Nevertheless, I am grateful to have him as my friend. He teaches me a lot about Gundam and money(he likes money), and how to stand up for myself.

Though, I hope he converts to Islam someday so we can go to heaven together.

It was from there that my interest in volleyball started developing, further and further with each episode.

My favourite character is Hinata Shoyo, the main character. I admire Shoyo because he is very hardworking throughout everything, from the beginning, until he became a professional Japanese volleyball player.

Though he is talented and hardworking, he is still a human and that is my favourite thing about this show. The show and manga do not depict him as somewhat of an overpowered character but depict him as normal and as a human.

From this, its highlighted that being good to another muslim is important for the ummah and for yourself. As we are in a religion where we consider every one of us is a brother or sister, we must always do good to them, so that at the ends of our lives, and even in the afterlife, our good deeds are returned with kindness.

Not only that, being good to another muslim is essential for the ummah to function well as it helps us maintain good relationships with other muslims. Even a person raised in an Islamic household can learn more from this program.

Take me, for an example. Though I was born and raised as a Muslim, I've continued increasing my knowledge about Islam nonstop throughout each usrah session. If someone who is raised by Islamic rules benefits this much from usrah, then surely someone who lacks Islamic teachings will benefit much more!

All in all, I hope everyone enjoyed their time spent together during these sessions because I did. In shaa Allah, if one of us ever cross paths again, I hope by then, we have improved ourselves, and have been practising Islamic ways as we have been taught during usrah sessions.
