         <description><![CDATA[<div>John Deere was born February 7, 1804 in Rutland, Vermont. Deere was a blacksmith by trade, and he felt the cast-iron and wood plow weren't enough for prairie soil. After some experimenting he made a new plow, and he sold his first plow in 1838. Later he had made 10 different improved plows. By 1857, he was making 10,000 plows a year. His company, Deere &amp; Company had a net worth 40 billion in 2012.          <description><![CDATA[<div>Alexander Graham Bell was born March 3, 1847 in Scotland. Bell is best know for being one of the primary inventors of the telephone. Bell also, did work for deaf people and has 18 patents. Bell was very intelligent and worked on many things, such as flying machines and hydrofoils.          <description><![CDATA[<div>Andrew Carnegie was born on November 25, 1835, in Dunfermline, Scotland. After moving to the United States, he worked a series of railroad jobs. By 1889 he owned Carnegie Steel Corporation. Carnegie Steel was the largest of its kind in the world.          <description><![CDATA[<div>Robert Fulton was born November 14, 1765 in Little Britain, Pennsylvania. American engineer and inventor Robert Fulton is best known for developing the first successful commercial steamboat, the North River Steamboat (later known as the Clermont) which carried passengers between New York City and Albany, New York. Fulton also designed the world's first steam warship. He also designed the "Nautilus," the first practical submarine in history, which was built in 1800.          <description><![CDATA[<div>Cornelius Vanderbilt was born on May 27, 1794, in the Port Richmond area of Staten Island, New York. He began a passenger ferry business in New York harbor with one boat, then started his own steamship company, eventually controlling Hudson River traffic. He also provided the first rail service between New York and Chicago. When he died in 1877, Vanderbilt had amassed the largest fortune accumulated in the U.S. at that time. Vanderbilt is deemed one of America's leading businessmen, and is credited for helping to shape the present-day United States.<br><a href="https://www.biography.com/business-figure/cornelius-vanderbilt">https://www.biography.com/business-figure/cornelius-vanderbilt</a></div>]]></description>
