My career commenced as an IT programmer during a time when the internet was just making its debut (no need to guess my age!). At that time, few women ventured into this field, and I had to work twice as hard to earn the recognition I deserved, given the prevalent misconception that women were not suited for technology. Fortunately, times have changed, and more women are now choosing IT as their career path – a commendable shift.

If I could offer advice to my younger self and to all of you embarking on this program, it would be:

When I'm not wearing my educator's hat, I'm a proud mother to two teenage boys, aged 15 and 16. My older son has already surpassed me in height, so I'm on my way to becoming the shortest member of the family!

I'm a true geek at heart, finding joy in writing programming code and dedicating entire days to troubleshooting tech challenges.

One of my favorite pastimes is hiking with my students. Feel free to join us on our next adventure!

i am currently studying cyber network and security, a course which specializes in the security of our virtual activities such as internet banking, data protection, network protection and the list goes on.

i chose to join this exchange programme because first, ive never been to Denmark so a learning experience of the world wouldn't hurt. secondly, the experience that is gained will surely come handy one day. who knows how handy this can get? last off, extra general knowledge about computer science is always good.

i have a few hobbies and interests that i work on. i watch a lot of motorsports, mainly Formula 1. i absolutely love cars, mainly all the luxury supercars. i also do a lot of combat sports, such as boxing. i also do a lot of weight lifting, just for the health part.

a fun fact about me is that i LOVE to drink coffee. i can drink a high number of cups, because i am a very high functioning man.

to sum it all up, i hope we all can work together and have a great time 🤩

 
My hopes and goals for this exchange programe are to make new friends both from the Singapore and Danish side, experience the unique culture in Denmark, and pick up some soft skills from our daily learnings. 

 
What drives me to learn Python is firstly the career background of my dad. Usually a parent becomes a role-model of a child, and no matter how imperfect, he/she has a strong influence on the son/daughter. 

 
Secondly, I am glad that Python is a multi-purpose software, because I am still at my crossroads of deciding what am I really interested in. Since maths is one of my passions, Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (AI), became my favourite paths too. 

 
Python is currently in great demand, and I heard it's needed even in my current field, Cybersecurity. Although it's not necessary to have hard-core knowledge of programming, it's vital for cybersecurity functions like malware analysis, scanning and pen-testing. 

 
Serious stuff aside, I believe Python enables me to secure my basics of the concepts of programming, making it become my springboard for more coding languages. Besides that, it became one of my hobbies to create some easy fun games.

 
Exercising has been my hobby for kind of a while. Not only does it benefit my health, but it also helps me with destressing while keeping in shape and fit. 

 
Lately, photography became my hobby because it was a result of my other interest, travelling abroad. 

Speaking of travelling, I went to Copenhagen with my family for vacation in the year 2018.

I hope I would get to know most of you, not just by the name hahaha lol. Feel free to approach me or my other cool pals.
