I was watching Giles Peterson fill an auditorium with energy via acid jazz, there was a small record store selling vinyl next to the bar. The salesman insisted I had to listen to their album 'Black Focus'. He was right, that album changed how I viewed music, the groove, the rhythmic complexity, the subtle chords full of texture and colour. It is one of the reasons I am now at SAE and of of the reasons I'm putting hours per day improving my guitar playing. The added production elements really lift it too.
