This amendment shows the number of rights that are used for people who are accused of doing something bad with fair trials. The first right is the right to " a speedy and public trial, by an impartial jury." This right means people cannot be kept in jail for long time before being judged at a trial. They will let them testify while their memory is still fresh.
"Public" means that trials can be attended by the public and can't be a secret.
The judge of the an accused person must be "impartial" that means can be influenced against a defendant.
