Day 9 of quarantine:
In the beginning, I was excited for corona because it meant a couple days off of school and extra time to catch up on TV shows, sleep, and homework. Unfortunately, it's not as glamorous as I expected. My school is doing online half days now, which again, I thought sounded fun. But, this has all made me realize how much I miss school and seeing all my friends in different classes. Especially the friends that you love seeing in class but never see them outside of school. My swim practices have been cancelled but my coach is still sending out practices that me and my friends are doing on our own. That is basically the only social contact I have had this past week other than my family. Swimming is something I look forward to everyday because it means I can leave my house!! Quarantine has allowed for lots of family time which is good because my entire family is home (which does not happen a lot). It starting to look like we will not be going to school for the rest of the year which is really sad to hear. This means prom is cancelled, spring sports are cancelled, everything is cancelled. All of this is just really crazy to me. I hope it ends before this summer.
Those are all my thoughts for today, see ya next time :)

Day 13 of quarantine:
It's official, no prom and no more spring sports. We can't go back to school until May 15th now. Many counties in NC have issued Stay-At-Home orders. AP Exams are online 45-minute essays. My swim pool has closed so I can't do my swim practices anymore, which sadly means----running (ew). Well, enough of the bad stuff. I have found many new things to do at home like coloring, cleaning, homework, baking, and of course NETFLIX. I miss my friends a lot but face-timing them makes me SO happy. Yesterday, my mom organized a surprise bday party in a parking lot to celebrate my friend and I's birthdays that are next week. We got to see some of our friends there which was the best and I was totally surprised. Don't worry, we stayed 6ft apart. I can't wait until this all ends and we can leave our homes, but I know that it could definitely be worse for me. I am grateful to be happy and healthy.
Today was the first day I've gotten ready during quarantine. Mostly because I got to read a book to my sisters 2nd grade classroom today over Google Classroom. Her kids are adorable!!! I did a workout outside today and it felt so good. Today has been a pretty good day, I feel like I had more of a routine which makes me feel way more productive. I haven't watched any Netflix today so that shows A LOT. Thanks for reading and everyone stay safe!

Day 20 of quarantine:
I got to get out of my house this weekend and go to work. It was really nice to get out of the house and drive to work. I kinda missed driving, especially now that it is hot outside I can roll my windows down. It was my moms birthday yesterday, which was really fun to celebrate her. We ordered takeout, opened presents, and watched the movie "Leave no trace". I'm starting to go a little crazy at home, I do the same things everyday which I am getting bored of. Yesterday I even said "What am I gonna do during spring break without school". Yeah never thought those words would come out of my mouth but here we are. I'm trying to plan some fun things for my family and I to do, mostly to keep me entertained, and to give me something to look forward to. I keep seeing tik toks of families dressing up as celebrities or having themed dinners. And I thought it would be really fun for my family to do. I came up with some really fun ideas that my family members could dress up as. My dad will dress up as John Travolta, my mom as Billie Eilish, my sister as Phoebe from FRIENDS, and I'm dressing up as Flo from the progressive commercial. I think that will be really funny. I'll try to remember to take pictures and include them in my next post.

Day 24 of quarantine:
My birthday was this Saturday. I turned 17 years old. There wasn't much we could do but we made the best of it. I went and got coffee in the morning, did a workout, tanned outside, painted my nails, and watched a movie with my family. My sister and I have started binge watching The Voice on TV. I have created a schedule for myself to follow everyday just to make sure I get my work done. I wake up, do school and homework, workout, eat lunch, shower, finish any other homework, study for AP exams, and then the rest of the day is for myself. I have also loved baking lately. I have been baking for my moms coworkers because she works in the hospital. I can't believe it has almost been a month of quarantine.
