-The five pillars of Islam refer to the five duties that every Muslim must perform. The first of these five pillars is the declaration of faith and the other four are religious acts that are performed either daily, once a year or at least once in a lifetime. These acts are woven into the lives of Muslims and take precedence over all worldly matters

Compare and explain divine & non-divine religion: 

1.       Perception and worship of God 

a.       Divine Religion: God is centre of faith. 

                                                               i.      E.g Islam teach that Allah is the only God that must be worshipped 

b.       Non-Divine Religion:  God is not centre of faith. Contains ambiguity. Although some preach about oneness of God, but the god is not absolute 

                                                               i.      E.g Hindusm talks about Brahman as God but he isn’t worshipped 

2.       Nature of Scripture 

a.       Divine Religion: Scriptures that are ment to guide people to the right path were revealed by God through chosen people called messengers 

                                                               i.      E.g Al-Quran to Prophet Muhammad s.a.w, Al-Injil to Prophet Isa a.s, Tawrah to Prophet Musa a.s 

b.       Non-Divine Religion: Scriptures were written and ocmpiled by founder or sages. 

                                                               i.      E.g Veda compiled by Rishi, Tipitika compiled by Bhikku, Guru Granth Sahib compiled by Guru Arjan(5^th) then later Guru Gobind Singh(10^th) 

3.       Sources of law and Morality 

a.       Divine Religion: God is the source of laws and morality because God legislates all rules and regulations. 

                                                               i.      E.g In Islam, Allah legislates laws of nature and laws of injunction. In Judaism and Christianity is the 10 Commandments. 

b.       Non-Divine Religion: Founders or seers are the ones who set the laws and orality 

                                                               i.      E.g Rishi is source of dharma, Buddha & Bhikku for Buddism, Guru Nanak 

4.       Position of messengers 

a.       Divine Religion: Great need t rely on messengers because they are chosen by Allah to guide man to right path 

                                                               i.      E.g Muslim believe in 313 messengers and deny one means deny all. Prophet Muhammad s.a.w explains about Wudhu, Salah, Hajj, Sawm etc. 

b.       Non-Divine Religion: Rely on sages of respective religions. 

                                                               i.      E.g Rishi, Bhikku, Gurus. 

Explain 5 relationships betweeen islam , iman, & ihsan. 

·         When Islam and Iman are mentioned together, Iman refers exclusively to belief of heart while Islam refers to a person’s surrender to Allah. 

·         Every Mu’min is a Muslim but not every Muslim is a Mu’min. Therefore, when iman is negated from a person, but Islam is attributed to him, the iman if that person has yet to be perfected. 

·         Ihsan is to worship Allah as if we see Him, and if we do not see Him, He sees us. 

·         Ihsan is associated with Iman in Al-Quran that no sin accrues to those who believe and do good deeds and they continue to fear Allah and do well [ihsan] 

·         Ihsan is associated with Islam in Allah’s statement, “Indeed whoever submits himself to Allah, practising Ihsan, he has grasped the firmest handle” 

Importance of Pillar of Islam 

·         Direct concern with real creator. In their performance man is on the one side and Allah is on the other 

·         Have a form of their own in a sense that we bear a stamp of worship and at a glance convinced that it is an act of worship and nothing else. 

·         Have a special quality of cultivating passion for submission and obedience, a quality which other acts do not possess in an equal degree. 

How do pillars of Islam instil us the sense of humiliation towards Allah? 

·         The purpose of doing so is to highlight their distinction and special importance in the whole system of worship 

·         Without the pillars of Islam, that strength is not created which is but essential for the observance of standard worship 

·         This is why pillars of Islam have been made compulsory so that this source of strength is available to every Muslim and he can avail himself of it in the performance of real and complete worship 

2) What is the truth & how to achive?

The truth is from Allah and no one can give that except Allah. But when hidayah was given by Allah, it is our part to accept it or to ignore it cause only us can control our heart and what we want, we never can lie our feeling even how hard we want to ignore it.

The real truth is that there is only one God. The only thing that God wants form us is our heart. and the only religion acceptable to God is Islam.
