Today i was given the assignment for the next 10 weeks. The assignment is on creating Qr codes on tutorials on how to uses different things, for example i chose types of shots and how to function a DSLR camera. My choices were then researched and put onto a mood board on padlet. I had to create a mood board full of picture and videos explaining how to take certain shots or what button does what on a DSLR camera. I have learnt how to take certain shots with a DSLR camera and how to make them the most effective through there cameras many modes. Next time i must manage my time better as i didn't have the same amount of time for both mood boards.

Today we have to complete three mood boards including text, images, websites, audio, videos. i have chosen types of shots, functions of a DSLR camera and how to set up a camera equipment. Then we have to decide what one we want to continue to create into a tutorial and then make a mind map around the chosen subject. Lastly we must register to blend space.

I have chosen to do my tutorial and create a qr code for types of shots. I have started to create a mind map. I have to take my started mind map home and complete it with colour, sketches and printed off images. The mind map needs to cover the research I found from my mood boards.

Today we finished off out mind maps. adding colour and addition information. I had to label my images with web adresses and the type of shot it is. Then we were set a task with in a group of 4 to set up a camera and a tripod,after we had to observing another group setting it up. This helped to understand the basics of the task and expand on our current ideas for our tutorial. Delta gave us a talk and showed us a presentation about types of shots and showed us different video for inspiration for our tutorials. i have learnt how to set up the camera in a group as i havent done it before. i found out that it was quite easy to set up.

Today we took the subject that we are going to make it into a video and planned how we are going to do it through a storyboard. I am going to show types of shot through making a cup of tea. Through this I will be showing different shot like medium shot or long shot. On the story board we have to make sure to state camera angles, duration, how many cameras , and what is the edit transition.

Today was purely about preproduction. I finalised storyboards digital and draft version. We learnt how to write a proposal, booking log, contingency plan, location visit sheet and production schedule. I managed to finish the proposal the only thing I have left to do on that sheet is to fill out the research schedule. preproduction is important as it allows me to plan exactly what I'm going to do.

The biggest challenge was uploading a document from pages to blendspace however I managed to get my head around it and upload what was needed

This morning we touched up all our preproduction work. We made sure they were all uploaded to blendspace for Delta to assess. After lunch we were in the university building working in the TV studio. I learnt that reason green screens are green is because it is the furthest colour from skin colour. Which I found interesting. We were shown how the cameras work and were even the chance to create a chat show. Some people were camera operators, some were performers and there was one director. Me and poppy went into the screening room and saw what happened behind the scenes. The camera operators and the director all had head sets which allows them to all hear jack giving them instructions on when to zoom and move the cameras. We attempted to film twice and after we watched it back.

In the half term i am going to do a test shoot for my tutorial. This will help to see any errors in my set up. If there any problems I will change it to suit what would work. I will also fill out a glossary sheet of all the key terms that I have learnt so far. Then I will upload it to blendspace.

Today we touched up on the health and safety blog on padlet and the student self assessment evaluation form. I have got every thing ready for my formative chat with delta to assess my work for this unit so far.

This afternoon we were in the university building and jack gave us a talk to help us understand how to edit on Adobe premier pro. We all got a chance to select different clips and play around with the different features that the program has to offer.

We got talk to add transactions and effectively, his will all coming handy when I am editing my footage for my final production. I need to improve with my skill on the software as hard to locate.

I also had a one on one with Delta, she told me that I need to make sure to explain my work and back everything up. After the one on one it has helped me to buckle down and complete all tasks to the best of my ability.

Today I decided to film my videos for my tutorial. Everything was to plan however my performer Christina was not able to film today which was quite annoying. However I looked to my contingency plan and it said that I will use another performer. Niko stood in for Christina.

My idea is taking a normal everyday like making a cup of tea and use it to inform student about different types of shots.I used my story board as a referral to assure that I have all the right shot types. I did have to shoot certain shots a few times, like when she drop the tea bag and poured in the sugar. However in the end we managed to come out with some near to professional shots.

Today I have come into college and I had my video all ready and uploaded to the padlet page. This means that I am prepared for the viewing in the lecture theatre at the end of the day. Once we got into the theatre we watched each students tutorial and gave the student feedback afterwards. This acted as a large focus group. Once my video was watched everyone said their opinions on my strengths and weaknesses of my tutorial. I was told that I need to relook at my video and relabel some of the shots. However they said that my music goes really well with my video and they like how I took an everyday ask and turned it into something that informs and teaches students.

Today I had already had all my shots ready to edit, so I when on to a computer and started editing on the adobe premiere. I started by putting all my shots on to the computer. This was frustrating as I sent all of the shot I didn't need as long with the ones I did. This wasted a lot of time as I had to watch each shot and separate them. Once I had all of my shots I put them on to the software and linked the, together the video flowed. I had titled each shot and the video was starting to come together. However it is was when I decided to add music where it went down hill. I started to panic as I couldn't find any music to add and the music I did find you had to pay or they didn't match the video. I had to take actions into my own hands and transfer all of my shots to iMovie. This was an easier way and better as I will have my video ready for the deadline date.
