The first village is where I worked on a project regarding the build of new school toilets for a primary school whilst teaching the kids about climate change, sustainability as well as hygiene and sanitation. The second village I worked on was focused on deforestation.   • Objective: develop visual material to support the promotion and awareness of the project across digital platforms
    • Client Meeting:
    • Each govt school in Ghana is provided with toilets, often 12 cubicles - Elsie states she hasn't ever come across one that works
    • Thus, open defecation becomes an issue > diseases
    • Current work has included rehabilitating these current structures so they work
    • Set up a ‘wash program’ with 3 schools, each of about 500 children
    • Says her website vitally needs updating

    Initial idea
    We thought about looking into period poverty, lack of toilets etc. and the impacts this is having on young people, particularly young girls, in Ghana
    We will have 2 main pieces of content:
    1- Vox pop
    2- video interview with 3-5 children and their parents 

    Topic 2 - Toilets for every child/school! The importance of having working toilets to promote health in new developing countries, especially in schools. A campaign on equality. Every child in the world deserve to access those services

    We decided on this topic for many reasons. One of the reason is due to the fact of the volunteering experience in the same field. Despite the fact that the previous experience was based in Tanzania, the underlining principles and goals still applied as they do for the topic we have chosen.
