         <description><![CDATA[<p>Definition: Direct penetration of tissues </p><p>Immediate care: Keep the area clean do not remove puncture until professional care is there.</p><p>Post care: Apply a thin layer of an antibiotic cream or ointment (Neosporin, Polysporin). For the first two days, rewash the area and reapply the antibiotic when you change the dressing.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Definition: skin is torn from the body</p><p>Immediate care: antibiotic ointment for the affected area, as well as medication and possibly a tetanus shot if you haven't had one in awhile.</p><p>Post care: Keep the wound clean and dry for about 24-48 hours.</p><p>Change the dressing once a day or if it gets dirty or wet.</p><p>After three days the bandage may be removed, except in the case of drainage.</p><p>Clean the area gently but don't wash or rub stitches or sutures directly.</p>]]></description>
