I chose this quote as my favorite quote because it was a major point in the beginning of the story. Gabe and Dover had just broken into Gabes dads basement. I thought this was a really funny moment because Dover and Gabe had no clue what Gabes father had made the robot for. I couldn't believe they thought his dad was a pervert. Gabe quickly discovered that the robot was extremely well made. He almost couldn't believe how well the robot was made. I think it was a really bad idea to reprogram the robot to do activities that Gabe amd Dover liked to do. I knew something was going to go wrong and when T.R.I.N.A fled the house while Gabe and Dover were arguing I thought they were very dumb.

I have read the book review and I disagree when they say Gabe and Dover are nerds. I disagree because they aren't really that smart, they just don't have any other friends other than each other. The book review says that some parts of the book "aren't particularly funny'' but I completely disagree. I thought it was hilarious that Gabe had to change clothes but the clothes he was changing into were almost identical to the clothes he was wearing before, and the best part was that he didn't realize until after he had rummaged through the clothes and changed halfway into the new ones. I think this book review is good but doesn't give the book the credit it deserves.

Literary Element (Theme)

I think the overall theme in the book Robot is if its not yours then you shouldn't touch it. This is a good theme because if Gabe and Dover had just left the basement door closed and hadent gone into the lab then they wouldn't have let T.R.I.N.A. out and none of the crazy things would have happened. Dover said it himself that instead of trying to save the president they could be playing Halo 3. I think Dover was trying to blame the fact that they were in all this trouble on Gabe but in reality it was equally his fault too.

Symbolic image

A symbolic image that is present in the book and connects to the book would be Gabes basement. The basement symbolizes how much trouble Gabe and Dover are going to get in when they get caught. Both Gabe and Dover knew that they shouldn't be in the basement but they decided to go in anyway. It was a bad choice to go in because it snowballed from there and everything kept getting worse. The basement also symbolizes trust, because Gabes dad trusted him to stay out of there no matter what and Gabe went inside anyway and broke his fathers trust.

A major conflict was when Gabe, Dover and T.R.I.N.A. were at the giant party and T.R.I.N.A. kissed Gabe because the spies were looking in and they had to hide their faces. This caused a huge conflict because Gabe was falling in love with T.R.I.N.A. and at the same time they have to run from the spies that they thought were trying to kill them. Another conflict was right after the party when they were being chased and their car ran out of gas. At the same time T.R.I.N.A. was running out of battery and they had to get her charged back up.

I think the title of the book is Robot because when Gabe and Dover sneek into Gabes basement they find a forty three million dollar robot. At first they had no idea why his father had made the robot, I thought it was really funny that they thought it was a sex doll and that Gabes dad was a pervert. Gabe and Dover quickly found that the robot was extremely well made made and that they could program it to do things that they liked to do such as read comic books.
