We are already using "admit slips" and "crystal balls." We are also using exit slips at the end of lessons. One of the tools we need to extend is the self-reflection piece on the exit slips. Having students reflect using numbers 1-4 would give us more insight into their understanding of the lesson.

Constant and immediate feedback is given daily in class. Students perform and we respond. We currently use SmartMusic software to assess home practice progress as well. We use rubrics so students understand where they are on the continuum. We would like to explore VR technology.

In STEM, we have "challenges" that students choose from. Students create artifacts that demonstrate their learning. They also write reflections and have verbal discussions with us to share how they progressed in their skills. They share about how they problem solved, persevered, collaborated, and used resources. They also share how they can apply their learning in other areas, not just specifically STEM or education.
