Seaman the dog

Seaman would be very good to have on a trip like this. Going on a very long trip like this can mess people up. One thing that having a dog will help with is that you can have fun with it. I play with my dog all the time. Whether it;s tug of war or something else were we are just being stupid for fun. Seaman being a dog, he has great hearing, smell, and other traits that can come in handy. If food gets low, Seaman can help out with hunting for something like a deer. If Lewis and his men were to run into a bear, Seaman could easily distract so that the men could easily shoot it. There are definitely more reasons why having a dog would be a good thing to have on a trip like this but these are the most important reasons why to have a dog in my opinion.

Clark

Clark was the other leader of this trip. Beside him was Lewis. Together they made one of the most iconic duos ever to live. Lewis was the one to contact Clark to ask him to see if he wanted to go with Lewis. Clark was also the one who had taken on the task of training a group of men who would become Corps of Discovery. Lewis and Clark had become friends when they were in the military. They were both officers so they spent a lot of time together on duty.

White Sturgeon

The White Sturgeon is North America's largest and longest-lived freshwater fish species, with some species recorded over six meters long and 100 years old. It has distinctive barbels, an extendable mouth, and a shark-like tail. Rows of diamond-shaped bony projections extend along their exterior lengthwise; however, their skeleton consists mainly of cartilage.

Adult White Sturgeon typically prefers deep backwaters adjacent to eddies; however, seasonal habitat use varies. For example, foraging habitat is closely linked to the migration patterns of their food sources. In general, overwintering sites have fine substrates with deep, slower-flowing water. Spawning in managed rivers has been associated with deep, swift and turbulent waters over cobbles and boulders.

The Otos

The Oto Indians were part of the Southern Sioux tribes living along the Missouri River along the present-day Missouri and Nebraska borders. They were buffalo-hunters and farmers living in oven-shaped, earth-covered houses organized into settlements. Their numbers had been reduced by Smallpox, so the Oto Indians joined with the nearby Missouri Indians, and their villages numbered about 250.
