I’ve learned that trying to recreate a Graphic Designer’s design is harder than it looks. Graphic Design is different than I thought it would be I imagined using something like photoshop but I thought using it would be easier. My experience of designing the replica was hard, but I enjoyed it. I liked Peter Seville as a designer his work was interesting.

Pattern Making

Pattern making was pretty hard at first. When I was making my first pattern I got confused with how to use the tools on Photoshop which made it difficult and stressful. When I was making my second pattern, which was this one, it was so much easier and more fun I knew what tools to use and I felt more stress free. Making this pattern was much easier to do when you know what you’re doing.

Donut Design

Designing a donut was really difficult at the beginning when I didn’t know what tools to use, but when I knew how and and what to use my tools for it was really easy. This was the fifth donut I made, and I think it turned out the best. Making some of the donuts was harder than others. Overall this project was fun and lets me learn a little more about Photoshop.

Logo Parody

Overall this project was fun, but at the same time rough. This project was a struggle making my first logo, but the more I made the easier it became. My favorite logo was this Adidas Parody, Agidas. I think this design looks the best out of all the other designs.

Logo Initials

This project was pretty easy especially since the colors and fonts were already chosen. I believe this logo I made would make the best logo for a brand. This logo may be simple, but it’s universal. You could use this logo for anything, so it would be the best one to use.

Zombiewood

Zombiewood was a fun project to do. We had the choice to turn celebrities into zombies, vampires, or werewolves for Halloween. I chose to turn Taylor Swift into a zombie, which was fun to do. This was one of my favorite projects of the semester.

Logo for Kernes

Making a logo for a client was somewhat hard. I feel like I was rushing on this design. I also feel like I could have done better now using different tools that I didn't know how to use before. We did 5 different logos and I think this design came out the best

Famous Art Parody

This project went better than I thought it would. I learned how to warp images, change the color balance, and partially erase using a 10% opacity. My favorite was the Mona Lisa I did of Ms. Bradfield I think it turned out the best of the three we had to do.

KHS Grad Ticket

This KHS Grad Ticket project I feel like went well. I think I may have put too much detail on it to be a Grad Ticket. The banners might have not went with the theme of what I was originally going for. Overall this project was fun and might be one of my favorites.

Food Truck Logo

This project was the start of our Food Truck Design project. I think I did a decent job with this logo for a barbecue logo design, if I could go back I'd make a few changes. Overall I enjoyed this part of the project.

Food Truck Design

This was the second part of the bigger project. We designed a barbecue food truck on all sides. This was fun to do. I think I did a pretty good job. This was definitely one of my favorite projects.

Food Truck Menu

This was the final part of the bigger project. We designed a barbecue menu and made up our own menu items. I think the menu turned out pretty well. This was also one of my favorite projects.

DIY Photoshop Week- Glow up

This project we used Youtube to teach us how to do something on Photoshop. I chose to do a Glow Up. I think it turned out decent. This was not my favorite project.

Reflection

This semester in Graphic Design I have learned to do a lot on Photoshop. Some of the things I've learned how to do is morph designs, create designs, and remake designs. My favorite projects this semester were the whole food truck project, and Zombiewood. Graphic Design is a fun class to take and I'm looking forward to Graphic Design II next semester. I'd recommend this class to other students it's fun and not stressful.
