Zafreen

The Bullring Shopping Centre
By zafreen kausar

I would like to share my experience about our new shopping centre, the Bullring. The Bullring Shopping Centre opening ceremony was last week, Monday, at 12:30. I went there with my son.

There were lots of people who came. The mayor and other officials from the council were present. The mayor cut the ribbon and everyone applauded because they were happy. Also, drinks were offered, such as champagne and soft drinks. The people were walking around in the shopping centre to see all new shops. We also walked around and went into some shops.

The shopping centre is enormous, with shops on four floors. One the first floor, all the shops are clothing shops, such as Zara, Next and New Look. On the second floor, there are other shops: shoe shops, cafes, restaurants and Poundland. On the third floor you can find sports shops, like JD. Finally, on the top floor there are toy shops, home decoration shops and music shops.

We went on each floor and bought a few items from New Look and JD. We spent three hours browsing all the the shops and in the end we had a coffee and a cake at Caffe Nero. We were exhausted.
In conclusion, I really like this new shopping centre because it has so many shops and it is beautifully decorated. It is amazing! The only thing I didn’t like was that the cafe and restaurants did not have halal food. However, I would recommend this new shopping centre to everybody. Go and enjoy yourself!

Manal
World Food Fair

Nowadays there are many charity events around the world to support people in need. These events include food fairs. This article is about one food fair in Birmingham.

I recently attended a food fair called World Food Fair in Cannon Hill Park, Birmingham on Saturday the 23rd of March 2021, from 3pm to 9pm. At this event there were many stalls of food from different cultures, such as Italian cuisine, Indian cuisine and Chinese cuisine.

This event was to raise awareness of the cases of homeless orphans as well as raising funds to support them. The fair was lovely and cheerful as there was a variety of different types of foods and desserts. You could find food such as chicken tikka, fish curry and crisp poppadoms from the Indian cuisine, as well as Italian foods, including pizza, pasta and lasagne. There were also all kinds of desserts, such as cheesecake, ice cream, brownies and trifle. I tried some chicken tikka with rice, while my daughter ate pizza and lasagne. They were all delicious.

Overall, the event was delightful and educational. I would definitely recommend it to my friends and family for next year. In addition, I really enjoyed the event, and most of the foods were delicious. The only thing I didn't like was that there were long queues for some of the stalls. Maybe, they could ask for more volunteers next year to help with serving the food.

Difference Between Living In The Countryside And Town

Life in the countryside and town differs in many ways . I will discuss five of these differences, which are: the level of pollution, access to transport, education, jobs and other facilities such as hospitals, Gps and local fresh food.

Firstly, in the countryside the air is fresh and clean, but in the town the air is polluted because of heavy traffic and factories. Secondly, in the countryside, there are very few buses and no trains, while in the town there are many buses and trains , which you can use when you need them.Thirdly , in the countryside, you do not have access to many jobs and higher education. By contrast, in the town, you can find jobs easily and you can easily access schools and colleges.

Finally, in the countryside , you find fresh food at the farms or at the local shop such as eggs, milk and vegetables, which are organic. On the other hand, food in the town, is mostly available at the supermarket and it is not always local.

In conclusion, I prefer living in the town because I can find a job easily if I am unemployed. Also, my children can go to university without living their home because we have many universities in Birmingham. Overall, pollution does not affect me and my family too much as we are young and healthy.

In this article I am going to discuss the advantages and disadvantages of social media.

There are several advantages of using Facebook such as, using it to connect to your family , friends and work colleagues. Another advantage is that you can do online shopping when you don't want to leave your home. Moreover, it is easy to use private messages and video chatting to connect with friends from abroad.

On the other hand there are some disadvantages of using social media . For instance, many people are using Facebook day and night, without thinking how much time they have wasted on it. Also, it can cause children and teenagers to waste a lot of time because they play games on Facebook . Last but not least, the delivery for online shopping can get delayed easily.

Conclusion:
In my view , social media sites, such as Facebook, Twitter, Whats App have become very important as part of our everyday life.

Last week, we visited the Bullring Shopping Centre in the city centre, which opened on Tuesday. I would like to share my experience of the opening ceremony and to describe the shops which I saw.
I went to the Bullring with my family and we travelled by car. Initially, we browsed the shops on the first floor which were clothing shops such as New Look, Zara and Next. They many displays which were very attractive. For example, I liked the summery dresses at Zara. After visiting the first floor shops, we went to the second floor where they have Boots, Superdrug and other make-up shops. While the children went to toy shops with my husband, I spent time at Boots, looking to buy a lipstick and eye shadows.
Around lunch time, we got together again and went to Pizza Hut where the children had pizzas and my husband and I ate salads. We also had something to drink and some desserts such as cheese cake and ice-cream. They were delicious and we enjoyed our time there.
The shopping is enormous because it is built on 5 floors. The decorations are amazing and make you feel like you are in another world because everything is very modern. The shopping centre has also got a place where parents can drop the kids with a lot of toys and childminders.
In conclusion, we really had a great day in this new shopping centre and we would like to go again and visit the floors which we did not visit now. Also, I recommend this shopping centre to all my friends and family because it is a wonderful place to visit.
