         <description><![CDATA[<p><strong><mark>Activity 1: Answers to the questions:</mark></strong></p><p><strong>1. What is a capacitor?</strong></p><p>- Based on the module provided, a capacitor stores electric charge and consists of two-conductors of any shape placed near one another without touching. It is common practice to fill the region between conductors or plates with an electrically insulating material and it is also stated that each capacitor plate carries a charge of the same magnitude, one positive and the other negative. </p><p><strong>2. Why do capacitors block DC currents?</strong></p><p>- A capacitor blocks DC to allow the voltage to be present across the plates in the form of an electrical charge. Based on the web, capacitors also block DC because they get fully charged and stops current flow. </p><p><strong>3. What is the unit of capacitance?</strong></p><p>- the unit of electrical capacitance is Farad (abbreviated F), named after the English physicist and chemist Michael Faraday. One farad is equal to one coulomb per volt. </p><p><strong>4. What is the relationship between c, q, and v?</strong></p><p>- Capacitance (C) is the ratio of the charge (Q) stored on a capacitor to the voltage (V) applied across it. This relationship is expressed as C = Q/V. It means that a capacitor with higher capacitance can store more charge for the same voltage.</p><p><br></p><p><strong><mark>Activity 2: Problem Solving</mark></strong></p><p><em>The answers/solutions are attached.</em></p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><br></p>]]></description>
