Dash & Dot is a robot that allows creativity and engaging learning for students. There are various apps available on devices that correlate to different topics/subjects. However, Dash & Dot seems to be mostly geared towards STEM learning as it received the 2018 Seriously Stem Award. The following website has different lessons available that are connected to standard based curriculum. Its customizable to relate to all students of any age (K-8).

After researching Dash n Dot more thoroughly, I have discovered multiple new things. There are six apps for Dash and they each provide a different learning tool. There are accessories for Dash that can be purchased separately to aid in the learning. For example, a Sketch Kit can help students express creativity and exercise critical thinking and spatial reasoning skills as they draw geometric shapes, words, and more.
There are endless amounts of different lesson plans regarding different topics for every grade level. Every lesson and game is unique. Almost every lesson plan integrates multiple subjects at once. For example, Coding, Science, and ELA or Coding, Science, and Math.
Dash n Dot speaks 8 languages, but 3 of the apps are English only. Any person can also make their own app for Dash n Dot.
There are lots of good educator resources, such as "Class Connect-Tailor Instruction to Every Student" or "Cross-Curricular Lesson Library-Integrate with Core Subjects".

Dash & Dot are interactive robots that are interactive by students through a couple of different apps. I found this very interesting. After reading through different websites and watching different videos I have found out multiple different activities you could incorporate Dash & Dot in. One example I read was about using laying different cards on the ground and having a partner write out a math problem and they had to control Dash and move him to the correct card to the equation. This could be used for any grade level, you would just need to adjust the level of difficulty for the problem. Another useful activity you could use Dash for is that he can act like a math compass. If you are teaching students about circles on a graph, or circonference, this could be a very useful because it will help students interact and bring some fun and excitement to the lesson. These are just a couple of the many different ways you can use Dash and Dot in your lessons.

Utilizing Dash, we will be using the Blockly app to create a lesson where students will have to code and also measure sides of rectangular shapes and find its area and perimeter. We will choose the length (in cm) the Dash will travel. The Dash will be holding a marker to draw the line for the students to see and then measure. Students will have either a worksheet or their notebooks to write down their work and corresponding answers.
