Education and technology are two of the most important components to growing the SBDC program by providing needed training and information virtually to small business owners in Columbia and throughout Missouri.

Prior to joining the Missouri SBDC, I was Communications Manager at Noranda Aluminum, where I headed-up training, special projects and all internal and external communications for a facility of approximately 1,000 employees.  I have also been a public information coordinator for the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services; and an editor, photographer and writer with the Sporting News, The Tennessean and the Associated Press, among other outlets.

I currently live in Jefferson City during the week, where my wife, Jessica, an English teacher, and son, Jack, 14, and daughter, Lydia, 10, will be joining me this summer.

]]> 2019-08-10 12:57:47 UTC https://padlet.com/machristian99/ypjkx8o3da2n/wish/373962101 How I use technology... machristian99 https://padlet.com/machristian99/ypjkx8o3da2n/wish/373962114 I use technology primarily on my phone and live by my Outlook Calendar.  I often have to design and edit flyers and other promotional materials for classes and workshops using Adobe InDesign and Photoshop.  For both my professional and personal life, I regularly take and edit photographs and some videos of to share and promote events including any activity my children are in. 

As I travel a lot, I regularly use Zoom and FaceTime to commute with both clients and my family.
