Krystal made an interesting comment about above ground versus buried power lines. Some neighbourhoods have their power lines buried for aesthetic purposes and buried lines are easier to do maintenance on. 
City versus urban planning - some students might not recognize a power line if isn't something they are familiar with in their environment. A child might make connections and inquire about why the houses are built in this fashion. What are the forces the builders and architects would have to consider when making these developments. But also the idea of symmetry. Why do all houses in new developments look this way?
