In the great Gatsby, power, greed, and money play a major factor in every individuals life. These factors are the things that influence every individuals choices. For example Daisy. As much as the book perceives Daisy as this sweet perfect individual she really is and underline gold digger. She married Tom for money and power and left Gatsby in the dust. Although when Gatsby began to get his status up and a ton of money. It then was okay for Daisy to go back with him, although in the end it ended up just being a competition who could have the higher status and the more money. Eckleburg.  The motif reoccurs throughout the novel.  The eyes represent judgement for a guilty conscious.  Judgement is another common idea in the novel.
