I chose Factoring Completely as my favorite lesson of chapter 4. I chose this lesson because it showed me how to get the simplest answer to the equations. I was also able to pick up on it quickly and understand it.

Yes it can be factored further! This lesson showed me how to factor it. I was taught how to factor them completely.

Chapter four does relate to the real world. I can use these skills when dealing with expenses of any kind. I could also use these skills with other life challenges.

I chose completing the square as my favorite lesson of chapter 5. I chose this lesson because it it taught me how to complete a perfect square without having to draw it out completely every time.

How can I make a perfect square? (x^2+10x)

In order to build a perfect square using algebra tiles you would need 25 unit tiles to complete it. I know this because 5*5=25

Chapter five does relate to the real world. I can use these skills when building things. I would also be able to use these skills when indeed to moving furniture.

I chose graphing form of a quadratic function as my favorite lesson of chapter 9. I chose this lesson because it showed me how to graph a simple equation as a function. It helped find the vertex of the functions.

You can rewrite a quadratic equation from standard form into graphing/vertex form. You can do this by using the inverse operation and completing the area model to find the vertex. Once you have the vertex you can graph it.

How does chapter nine relate to the 'real world'?

Chapter nine does relate to the real world. I would be able to use this when a stranger comes up to me and asks me to graph a quadratic equation. When that happens I will be prepared!
