The book is about a bunch of pilgrims traveling to the Canterbury cathedral who engage in storytelling contests. This article (see link below) talks about an app that an English professor created that lets you hear the tales read to you in Middle English. DG</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Eels were seen as a widely accepted and even valuable form of payment! It was common for tenants to pay their rent with extensive numbers of eels. They were also seen as an ideal food to consume for sustenance throughout the period of Lent, as Catholics were allowed to eat fish while avoiding other meats, so as not to encourage "carnal desires".          <description><![CDATA[<div>While the education in Medieval Times was only for those who were upper class, education itself focused on learning Latin (since this was the most common language among merchants). Also, there were no textbooks in Medieval England as they were extremely expensive (just like college textbooks) and the only two colleges that men could go to (sorry ladies) was Oxford and Cambridge.
