Ethos - The song "You say" uses a technique called Ethos. This is the a technique that is used when the author is using a spirit of culture or a form of belief. She uses the phrase "I believe" throughout the song. Referring to god and her belief in him. The main point behind this song is for her to be able to find herself and take on a new perspective of life with god by her side. This is seen when she uses the lyrics such as "The only thing that matters now is everything You think of me."
