I usually don't read non-fiction books and that was the first one I enjoyed. Dave chose the perfect words for the story. There is action in every word. I really enjoy the book. My group also thinks it's amazing. Also his brothers are also interesting not helping him but just standing there and obeying their mother. Dave's second youngest brother Russell is the most cruel in the family. Making up lies for Dave to get punished. When Dave was about to die he chanted "David's going to die. The Boy's going to die." Dave is his brother and Russell still wanted their mother to abuse him.
  
   My group agrees with me that Dave's mom's change of emotion interested them. Miriam thinks it's interesting when his mom feeds him ammonia and gives him food scraps even a dog refuses to eat. Ahmed agrees that his brothers are interesting because of the fact that they don't help him. My group agrees that it's interesting when Dave's mother brainwashes them.
