         <description><![CDATA[<div>In Antartica, there have been several ideas that people came up with in 1961 that are now used today:<br>- Mining is prohibited in Antartica<br>- You are not allowed to dump any toxic chemicals/waste or rubbish in the Antarctic oceans<br>- Commercial fishing in the Southern Oceans are controlled by the CCAMLR (Convention for the Conservations of the Antarctic Marine Living Resources) <br>- Seals are protected in order to nor restart the killing frenzy of seals<br>- Studies and Measures must occur once yearly in order to minimise any harm done to the native marine species and to also control any non-native species that are in Antartica <br>- No Antarctic bird or mammal can be killed or captured without a permit<br><a href="http://www.coolantarctica.com/Antarctica%20fact%20file/science/conservation.php">http://www.coolantarctica.com/Antarctica%20fact%20file/science/conservation.php</a></div>]]></description>
