Description: Penn State Arboretum is in charge of 370 acres of land on top of the beautiful park that many Penn State students are familiar with. This organization has many volunteer opportunities that range from working special events, children activities, general lawn work, and land/trail upkeep. If you are interested in any form of being a volunteer you must fill out an application and the Arboretum staff will reach out to talk to you.

Location: Black Moshannon State Park

Description: Spend the day outside at Black Moshannon State Park while giving back for National Public Lands Day! Volunteers will take part in hands-on projects like trail maintenance, gardening, mulching, painting, and litter cleanup, all while working together and enjoying the park. After the service projects, there will be time to relax, explore the park, hike, and enjoy the lake. Transportation from University Park is provided, plus free breakfast snacks and lunch!
