Michael Moshan and the company are committed to donating 10 percent of profits to the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust (DSWT), an organization that promotes the conservation of wildlife habitats in Africa. Central to DSWT’s efforts is the Orphans’ Project, which rescues and rehabilitates vulnerable elephants and rhinos. In Kenya, these animals face threats by poachers as well as loss of habitat due to drought, deforestation, and human conflicts. DSWT takes in infant animals that have been separated from their families by traumatic events, offering them carefully developed infant formula and around-the-clock social care that is essential to a baby elephant’s survival. Additionally, experienced keepers provide opportunities for play and natural exploration, slowly helping the elephants prepare for reintroduction into the wild.
