When I buy something, I always ask for a receipt. A receipt allows me to check if I paid only the amount I was supposed to. When I pay with cash, the receipt shows me how much change I was supposed to receive. However, to ensure that I didn't get scammed, I need to be able to read the receipt.

If you read the title you must be thinking "What". Constantly reading is the only way to get better at reading. If I read frequently so that I can improve my reading skills, my skills will get better. Harder the reading material is the more greater the result.

Let's say that you want a burger from (brand name here). You sit down at a table inside that restaurant to find that you have no idea what the menu is saying. That is because you can't read. It is because we know how to read that we know what to order when we go to our favorite burger place. After all, getting a random one might not be the most delicious choice.

One of the most common ways to strengthen my faith is to read about it. You can read a prayer, read the bible, or read the lyrics to a mass song. You can also read articles about others who followed your faith to get inspired. Of course, this is difficult if you can't read.

Whenever I read a book, I automatically create a movie in my head about what is happening in the story. I imagine how the setting appears or how the characters look like. Imagining is a fun thing to do and I can read so there is no reason not to read for me.

Books hold the thoughts, beliefs, and ideas of the author. That is why reading can expose readers to a whole new point of view. Personally, I like reading about new things and becoming aware of what/how others might think.
