They are recorded and archived for those who can not attend. Topics are presented and discussed and it really seems to augment learning of key topics. What is the possibility of using this approach to increase engagement between class members as well as the faculty?. Also what is the thinking about periodic "live" office hours?

Dr John Craddock

I would like to have a conversation about how we can encourage students to interaction more frequently and substantively with our faculty. I have tried many attempts including one on one requests in the discussion board and it is really frustrating to see that by and large most students no matter the term tend to ignore it.I really don't want to go down the path of penalizing them for failing to interact with me but I fear that by just talking with each other, they are not obtaining all of the sides of a conversation.

I would like to start providing oral feedback to my students as a part of their grading. I have attempted to use several different programs but I'm not happy with any of them and I'm wondering if other faculty have preferred programs that they use and can recommend for doing blended feedback of oral and written commentary.
