After participating in an indoor cycling class, Mr. Wallis collapsed outside of the cycling room. Two off-duty officers and the cycle class instructor, Casey, tended to Mr. Wallis while they waited for paramedics to arrive. Casey suspected he was having a seizure and went to retrive the defibrillator. Casey brought the defibrillator, but did not use it. Mr. Wallis later died after being transported to the hospital.
