Glass ceiling:a point after which you cannot go any further, usually in improving your position at work. (Cambridge, 2021). It  mostly applies to women. 

Minority:a group of people who share some characteristic by birth that makes their group smaller than some other groups in a society and may cause others to treat them unfairly. (Cambridge, 2021). The least in a group. 

Majority:most of the people or things in a group. (Cambridge, 2021). 

Sexism:Sexism can be a belief that one sex is superior to or more valuable than another sex.(Britannica, 2021).

Racism:the unfair treatment of people who belong to a different race; violent behaviour towards them(Oxford Dictionaries, 2021).

Prejudice: an assumption or an opinion about someone simply based on that person's membership to a particular group. (Very well mind, 2021).

Stereotype: a widely held but fixed and oversimplified image or idea of a particular type of person or thing. (Oxford Languages, 2021).

Prejudice vs Stereotype: While a stereotype is a thought about a person or group of people, a prejudice relates to feelings and attitudes about that person or group of people. Prejudices are often rooted in the idea that certain types of people are worth less or are less capable than others.(Gender Equality,2021)

Segregation: the policy of keeping one group of people apart from another and treating them differently, especially because of race, sex, or religion. (Cambridge, 2021).  Treatment. 

Race: A group of people sharing the same culture, history, language, etc; an ethnic group. (Oxford Languages, 2021).

Ethnicity: The fact or state of belonging to a social group that has a common national or cultural tradition. (Oxford Languages, 2021).

 

Morphology :is the study of the form of words and phrases.

Syntax the grammatical arrangement of words in a sentence.

Phonetics: the study of the sounds made by the human voice in speech.

Phonology : the study of sounds in a particular language or in languages generally.

Semantics: the study of meanings in a language.

Pragmatics: Pragmatics is then the study of how both literal and nonliteral aspects of communicated linguistic meaning are determined by principles that refer to the physical or social context in which language is used.(Britannica,2021)

Neurolinguistics:the branch of linguistics dealing with the relationship between language and the structure and functioning of the brain.(Oxford, 2021)

Sociolinguistics:the study of language in relation to social factors, including differences of regional, class, and occupational dialect, gender differences, and bilingualism.(Oxford,2021)

Language Acquisition:Language acquisition is the process by which humans acquire the capacity to perceive and comprehend language (in other words, gain the ability to be aware of language and to understand it), as well as to produce and use words and sentences to communicate.
Historical Linguistics:the scientific study of how languages change over time. (Cambridge 2021)
