Thank you for taking care of Zella for two years in a row as a Sequoia. It was so hard for me to have her away from me at such an early age, but knowing she was being loved by someone other than me made a big difference.

During the 2020-2021 school year, when the separate classrooms of TFC were more isolated from one another than in a typical school year, you brought kids and teachers and parents together through avocados!! "Avocado-ing" was a popular activity for Cornelia in Chestnut that year. And we'll always remember the love and care you showed to Marcie in the Sequoia class and beyond. We have worked together within this community in so many capacities and here I’ll share about how you’ve cared for my children. When 5 month old Ziggy, my wild and charismatic baby, joined you in Sequoia I knew you two would enjoy each other. You quickly endeared yourself to him as you shared laughs and love throughout the year. He continues to hold you in the highest regard. In fact, he’s told me he’d like to live at your house! Now, while you aren’t Julien’s teacher, you still find opportunities to show your fondness for her. Your comfort with children and your acceptance who each of them are is admirable and I will remember that always!

You helped create and grow TFC through each phase, building both a learning environment and a community that values connection, wondering, and discovery. Thank you for year after year of collaboration, documentation, and messy play. Thank you for introducing my own Sequoia to a fluorescent baby rave and saving my butt with weekly Kato time for both of my babes when Covid cancelled Extended Day and I had faculty meetings to attend. Thank you for your green thumb and your incredible skill to turn a church basement or an empty new building into an inviting and cozy place to learn and make memories. You are a piece of the fabric of TFC always, and I deeply appreciate your impact on the school, the people, and my own practice.
