         <description><![CDATA[<p>During the Civil Rights Movement, people began opening up to the black community and starting to accept them as <strong>human.</strong> "Other" minorities like the Spanish community saw this and craved their own version of humanistic and societal equality. Thus the fight against racism and hate continued. The Latino communities' main goals included: Representing their culture/gaining respect for their culture, passing certain laws regarding their backgrounds, and finally, gaining equality. </p>]]></description>

The Brown Berets. This group was formed to help and support the Latino community, and to help battle discrimination and inequality within society/nationally. </p>]]></description>
