Apprentice house or pauper apprentice is the name given to orphans or children forced into labour jobs. These children were a part of a contract that made them virtually owned by the factory. Banks that were invested into those factories benefited from the factories profit, the more children in the factory the more money the bank receives. The children working at those factories made up 50% of the work force.
