Each child received a worksheet on which they colored in the squares to create their own path. Once the worksheet was complete, the children programmed the Bee-Bot to follow the path they had designed, checking whether the sequence of commands matched the plan they had in mind.

Afterward, the children swapped worksheets with one another and worked through their classmates' paths, strengthening their analytical skills, spatial orientation, and algorithmic thinking.

During the project, the students actively participated in the international Code Week 2025 initiative by joining activities under the shared eTwinning project code and common project theme. This gave them the opportunity to become part of an international coding community and to complete creative digital challenges alongside students from partner countries.

The Code Week activities were fully integrated into the project theme, "Our World – Lakes Through Children's Eyes." Using ScratchJr, students created and programmed animations of a lake environment. They animated characters, designed stories about lake plants and animals, and learned to build simple algorithms through coding. In Minecraft Education, students designed and constructed a lake ecosystem by creating shorelines, aquatic vegetation, animal habitats, and other elements of the natural environment, while developing their creativity, spatial thinking, and digital design skills.

Equally important were the unplugged coding activities. Through hands-on programming tasks without computers, students developed their algorithmic thinking and problem-solving skills. They learned what pixels are, discovered how digital images are created from tiny coloured squares, and completed pixel-art colouring activities based on a lake theme by following coded instructions.

These activities helped students understand that coding can be meaningfully connected with environmental education, creativity, and problem-solving. Participation in Code Week 2025 strengthened students' digital competence, computational and algorithmic thinking, creativity, and collaboration skills. At the same time, the shared eTwinning project code and common project theme reinforced the sense of international cooperation and encouraged students to feel part of a wider European learning community.
