         <description><![CDATA[<div>The tropical rainforest biome is an ecosystem that spreads around 7% of the Earth's surface. They are discovered everywhere throughout the world however most of the tropical rainforest lies in South America in Brazil. The climate in the tropical rainforest is rainy yet pleasurable lasting through the year, day or night. The rainforest is acknowledged for its abundance of biodiversity, buttress roots and their canopy or environmental rooftop if you will.<br><br></div>]]></description>

They can be found in Central and South America, Southeast Asia, Africa and Australia. They are found in most equatorial areas. Countries that contain rainforest include Bolivia, Ecuador, Gabon, Guyana and Cameroon and, Malaysia.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Epiphytes are plants which grow over the ground surface, utilizing different plants or objects for help. They are not established in the dirt nor are they parasitic. By developing on different plants, the epiphytes can achieve positions where the light is better or where they can maintain a strategic distance from rivalry for light and, they usually will gain nutrients from the air and rain as well.<br><br>Orchids are a very popular form of plant life found in the tropical rainforest. These diverse plants are known for their gorgeous blooms and their fragrance. Their adaptation is that they have very large roots that allow them to absorb water and nutrients being under the canopy and they have an additional root system that allows them to store water.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>A member of the boa family, South America’s green anaconda is, pound for pound, the largest snake in the world. Green anacondas can grow to more than 29 feet, weigh more than 550 pounds, and measure more than 12 inches in diameter. They achieve their grand size on an eating routine of wild pigs, deer, birds, turtles, capybara, caimans, and even panthers. These vicious creatures have individual patterns that allow them to hide from predators.The scales, or scutes, on the underside of an anaconda assist the snake when moving on land. The scales create an undulating motion, while griping the ground to propel the snake forward.<br><br>Jaguars are the largest of South America's big cats.Unlike many other cats, jaguars do not avoid water; in fact, they are quite good swimmers. Rivers provide prey in the form of fish, turtles, or caimans—small animals. Jaguars also eat larger animals such as deer, peccaries, and, capybaras. They sometimes climb trees to prepare an ambush, killing their prey with one powerful bite. Jaguars have adapted to their environment by becoming excellent swimmers and they have learned to climb trees for preying.</div>]]></description>

         <title>Symbiotic Relationships in the Rainforest</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Commensal Relationship -&nbsp; the poison dart frog in rain forests throughout the world show commensalism with vermiliads&nbsp; and other plants in the rain forests. The frogs benefit by using the leaves of the vermiliad as shelter from sun and rain. The vermiliad is unaffected by the frogs.<br><br>Parasitic Relationship - The phorid fly will lay it's eggs in the crevices of the leaf cutter ant's head. When the eggs hatch the fly larvae will eat the ant from the inside out killing the animal.<br><br>Mutualistic Relationship - The capuchin monkey eats nectar from flowers all around the rainforest. When it eats the nectar its face gets covered in pollen. The next time the monkey eats out of a flower it will pollinate that flower.</div>]]></description>
