However, Realism focuses on details, characters, and reality. <br><br>The writings of Romanticism is mainly fictional, while the writings of Realism is mainly nonfictional. <br><br>The Romantics saw life better than reality, however the Realists accepted how life is. Even if life is good or bad, Realists still accept it the way it is. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Identify a minimum of 3 authors from this time period and identify one of their literary works and explain why it was important.<br></strong>Notable authors from this time period are Champfleury, Gustave Flaubert, and the Goncourt brothers, Jules and Edmond Goncourt. Gustave Flaubert is credited with making Realism mainstream with his literary work, <em>Madame Bovary, which talks about a woman committing acts of adultery and trying to find meaning in her troubled life. This greatly represented the setting in that present time and shocked the readers with such a harsh, cruel, yet realistic depiction of life. </em></div>]]></description>
