Nexxus rights? by Robert Frye

Reflect on the interconnections between the three nexxus issues. How do these issues intersect with the SDG's? Should the three be considered Human Rights? Why or Why not? How will this be paid for if you decide yes. What could the consequences be if you decide no?

I think the 3 nexxus issues should be a Human Right. If the 3 nexxus issues were a human right, that the population rate would even out and that would help out how we damage the earth a lot. By having the necessities such as food, water, and energy, I think that the world would run smoother. The way to pay for this is to teach the other countries how to farm, and how to have a sanitary way to use the restroom, the U.S. wouldn't have to really pay much. We could just step back and let the rest of the world do their thang.

To get these resources to people, developed countries should stop being as greedy, and we need to dispose of waste properly so we have more resources to use. Most importantly, using energy efficiently will allow for us to have the adequate proper amount of resources for all, energy alternatives aid in this sense in giving us more clean energy.
-Jack Shea

It would simply be too difficult and some would still be suffering just like what is occurring now. A way to pay for the Nexxus issues as human rights would be making food, water, and energy a little more expensive for those who can pay to afford it, to help out those that can barely pay for food. The nexxus issues intersect with the SDGs because there are SDGs like zero hunger and affordable and clean energy that should be given to everyone but are still apart of the nexxus issues.

There is a reason that the Nexxus Rights are referred to as a collection of issues. Many people are denied practical necessities that millions far away from them enjoy. If we learned to step away from industrialization and to resort to natural ways of living, the Earth would be able to sustain itself properly and all of the people on it. In the past, all three were obtainable for different reasons. Now, they work to divide the poor and the rich. The three should be considered human rights because conflict over resources would be abolished completely. They are not luxuries and would work well as easily accessible. The UN and organizations like it could get countries to adopt laws that demand money from tax-payers.
