This classroom would not be one that I would want to apart of nor would I be able to walk away from it feeling future ready. 4)  This is the opposite of what we want to foster in our graduates. 4)  The Universal Constructs were important here--they weren't by accident but by design. The teacher is the "sage on the stage" and not an activator who is attempting to build relationships with his students and engage them in the learning. The expectation is that students listen without offering insights or ideas. 
2) Students in this class feel unconnected to the content and each other as a community of learners. There are no opportunities for turn and talks or means to share ideas.
