B) Due to the Kansas - Nebraska Act the Missouri Compromise was repealed, due to those territories being past the agreed upon north. The Compromised had been keeping the country from fighting for states (Therefore making them Slave or Free states).

C) This event created an uncertainty within the country. What states could be free, and what states could be slave states? For the Northerner this created fear, will my state be the next to become a slave state? For the southerners this created an opportunity to explain into the north. Overall, this furthered the tenisons between the North and the South.

C) This event also instilled the notion, that there was so peaceful resolve to slavery. Neither side would be willing to give up/embrace slavery.

B) The initial speech was due to both the Kansas-Nebraska Act and the Bleeding Kansas violence that followed. These sparked huge tensions between both sides, which the Brooks-Sumner Incident portrayed in a perfect, almost comedic, way.

C) A physical way to describe the rising tension that had been boiling ever since the Kansas - Nebraska act a few years prior. The hope that the divide between would not end with a war was quickly dying; As tenison rose, so did the guns.

B: The Mexican cession was made due to America's annexation of texas and the ideology of manifest destiny. Because of the idea for america too manifest its destiny, politicians and citizens alike wanted to spread their territory, leading to the Mexican cession. 

C: The mexican cession was controversial due to it leading to the debate of if these new territories should be free states, or slave states, california was declared a free state and Utah and New mexico got the option to decide whether to be a free state or slave state themselves. Many northerners saw this as a spread of slavery in new territories and southerners saw this as a way to grow their power politically. The tension between the North and South created by the Mexican cession was one of the many events that led to the civil war.

-A majority of the court decided against Dread Scott which was greatly supported by Southern Democrats while infuriating Northern Republicans. After this decision, Northerners became increasingly more suspicious of a slave power conspiracy and denounced the decision as “the greatest crime in the annals of republic.” increasing tensions between the North and the South. This case also had the effect of the supreme court declaring all parts of the western territory open to slavery.

B: This act was a result of southerners demanding for more law enforcement when it comes to escaped slaves. Before the fugitive slave law, if slaves escaped they didn’t have to be captured. Many southerners saw this as a threat to them economically, aswell as a threat to their power, leading to this law. 

C: This law created an immense amount of division within the country. The south saw this as essential for their society while the north saw this as an insult to their anti slavery movements. This divided the American nation immensely, which made this another factor that led to the civil war. 

-In efforts to oppose the spread of slavery the Republican party used its first platform of 1854 to call the repeal of the Kansas-Nebraska act and the Fugitive Slave Law.

-With violence growing in Kansas more and more people joined the Republican group becoming the second largest party in the country; alienating and threatening the south further increasing tensions between them both.

-After being dealt with by Robert E. Lee and hung in Virginia, Josh Brown was condemned for his actions by moderates in the north and Republican leaders for his violence but the Southerners were not convinced and instead saw Josh Browns raid as final proof of the North trying to use slave revolts to destroy the South further increasing the already high tensions between both sides.

A:Uncle Tom's cabin is a novel against slavery that was created by Harriet Beecher Stowe. It was made in 1852, and vividly shows the injustices of slavery through a character known as uncle Tom, a victim of the slavery system. This novel was created to showcase the brutality of slavery causing many citizens to realize the injustices within the slave system.

B: The book was created as a response to the fugitive slave law act. Its goal was to emphasize the injustices of this act and of slavery as a whole. 

C: This book's vivid portrayal of the reality of slavery pushed many northerners to become abloshinits and support the idea of ending slavery. On the other hand, Southerners considered this novel slander. The book’s emotional impact led to more tensions rising between the north and south, being one of the many factors that led to the civil war. 

I. It introduced the use of violence in to fight whether or not slavery should be allowed. In this case, the vast amount violence was strictly due one state.

II. The tension which had been rising for awhile were now at a point where no side wanted to talk. Instead they would either verbally attack or they would respond violently. This is best demonstrated by the Brooks-Sumner Incident, which was sparked due to Kansas - Nebraska Act, and Bleeding Kansas.

III. Lastly, it led to the division of the democratic party. The country was not just divided because of slavery, they were more like two different countries that occupied a single government. The division of the party just solidified this into people minds.
