Nanotechnology - through nanotechnology, most diseases would disappear/be cured. Cancerous cells, for example, would be able to be targeted from the inside. Broken bones could be healed in days, if not less; something similar to movie superhero regenerating capabilities.
Robotics - Further developing AI and robots will allow us to focus on matters such as curing diseases, debating on the best route to take society through, and simply having less to worry about. Also, it would have to be in such a precise manner that the slightest variation would make it not at all like the desired outcome.
Nanotechnology - Messing with the human body as mentioned above (i.e. targeting cancerous cells) could bring along unforeseen consequences, such as the unintentional killing of a person.
Robotics - Terminator. Robots could become sentient to a point of wanting to wage war against humans (for any one reason, some of which include using them for our own personal gains, a.k.a. slavery, etc.)
For a more serious answer, addressing the issue above, the replacement of many people's jobs with robots would (potentially) make the world a nihilistic one, where humans' only drive to live is anything that brings them pleasure.
