"It is so short and jumbled and jangled, Sam, because there is nothing intelligent to say about a massacre. Everybody is supposed to be dead, to never say anything or want anything ever again. Everything is supposed to be very quiet after a massacre, and it always is, except for the birds. And what do the birds say? All there is to say about a massacre, things like “Poo-tee-weet?” (Vonnegut, 19)"

Kurt is responding to Sam in this out of book quote after being asked why the book would end with "poo-tee-weet." This quote really stood out to me (as did the whole introduction) because of the inception of having him write the book inside the book. It makes the reader think about when the bird appears at the end of the book, right after he comes out of hiding and sees the ruins of dresden for the first time.

I highly recommend this book if you like science fiction or books about World War 2. My only thing to say is don't think it's a book about someone being captured by aliens. It's not. It's a book where someone is captured by aliens, and thats not the biggest part of the book.

I think the review did a very nice job of summing up the book and describing it's themes. It really nailed describing the book in Kurt Vonnegut's style. My only complaints are that the review is kind of long for such a short book, and that at the end they kind of diss him after praising him for the whole article.
