My name is Samantha Kardon. I am a 33 year old small town girl from the beautiful state of South Carolina. My mother’s side of the family are native to Florida, so I ended up relocating and settling in the sunshine state about twelve years ago. It took me a while to adjust, but I ended up falling in love with the culture and environment. Soon after I found my place in Jacksonville, I met my wonderful husband. I walked down the aisle four years ago in 2020, despite the ups and downs. We have three fur babies that love to test our patience, you could say that we’re prepping for children one day. I’m an ARMY veteran that studied information technology. I love problem solving and using my creative thinking to explore new idea’s. I’ve chosen to endeavor on a path of Accounting Technology Management through FSCJ’s Technical Certificate. I’ve decided to enroll into the Associates degree program for Financial Accounting once I have the certificate under my belt. This field has always peaked my interest and it’s challenging me to explore new skills and talents. I’m excited to take this course and learn more about the managing aspect of things and see where the future takes me.

Hamza Khan has a very unique outlook on how this generation performs at its best. I agree with his argument that, we've evolved technology and so many other things, but yet, we have not evolved in the workplace. I found this video to be very intriguing and comparable to how Google and other organizations began fostering this kind of thinking, and in conclusion, they've surpassed their competition. This kind of forward thinking has revolutionized how businesses and workers see progress and performance.

This youtube video highlights the Principles of Management that we read briefly about in chapter 1. I found Henry Fayol's perspective on management to be very inspiring. These principles were written with the future generations in mind, and we've used these same principles to mold our management culture today.
