         <description><![CDATA[<div>Edward Curtis started by taking portraits for people in the town he lived in. Through this he met George Grinnell who was an expert on Native American cultures. Edward became very moved by the customs and traditions of these people and wanted to continue these exhibitions of the native work. Around 1905 he started photographing the Native Americans in their habitats. Through these photos he was able to bring a view on Native Americans that no one in the world would have been able to see and it allowed people to see another culture different than theirs.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>
