Could I take this opportunity to thank my fabulous and caring manager, Jayne Faraday. Jayne has been so supportive and thoughtful since my wonderful dad had a stroke earlier this year and unfortunately passed away on 21st January 2021. I would like to thank my new team the FAS Work Related Learning Team, Lynsey Martin, Andrea Cunningham, Alex Fruin, Emma Liu, China Jones, Helen Pickles and Sharon Webster who have all made me feel really welcome. I started my new job on Monday 4th January and from Tuesday 5th the country had gone into Lockdown so have been working at home since then. I have had amazing support and everyone has made me settle into my new role whilst I have been working remotely from home. To Laura, Louise, Fiona, Shahida and Paul: Thank you all for doing an incredible job over the past two months administering the OFS additional hardship funds, dealing with over 2200 applications for support and helping so many students in financial difficulty , as well as assessing and processing a significant amount of Student Support Funds during the same period, supporting Live chat events and working on our new IT system.
