We were assigned to make a music video using our technology vocab terms , and I remember my group and I put so much effort into it. We translated one of our favorite songs, “Sunflower” by Rex Orange County, to Spanish and then changed the lyrics to include our vocab and the story we had created. Then we filled a music video of us running through the school trying to find a phone charger because our phones had died. It was so cheesy and lame but the slow motion cuts were beautiful. Thank you for making your class so fun and so enjoyable for everyone who was in it.

I feel that my Spanish has improved a lot under your teaching. You really care about each of your students, and I can see that through your teaching. I'm glad to be in your class this year, and I look forward to learning from you in the future.

I can't tell you how many times you have cheered me up because you believed in me when I couldn't. Not only that, you really make learning Chinese super fun, like the time when you had us compete in the little competitions using chopsticks or the videos that everyone would make. You're extremely kind to all of us, even when we're all being kinda loud. I can't express how much I appreciate you and everything that you do for our class. It doesn't feel like it's just a class, it feels like a community and a safe space.

Learning a new language is probably one of the most difficult tasks as it requires you to build up from the start with principles that, without prior knowledge, have never been taught to you; science, math, or English courses are all cumulative. It was in this idea that I found a lot of my dislike for Spanish. However, I slowly began to love not just Spanish as a language but develop an appreciation for the culture of those who speak it in your class, Profe. Truly, you are one of the most friendly, approachable, and understanding teachers that I have had, and I hardly ever feel stressed in your classroom. Yet, I am still able to learn at a very proficient rate. My appreciation for you is honestly ineffable, but I just wanted to let you know that you made me genuinely interested in a subject that I would not have delved into otherwise! Thank you so much for that.

Learning languages is very interesting to me, and having been to your class to learn Spanish increased my desire to learn Spanish as one of the languages I want to learn. You not only gave me the motivation to continue learning Spanish, but you also taught it so well. You added to our vocab in a way that wasn't overwhelming, but fun. I still remember reading those books 2 years ago!

The impact you have left on my life is indescribable, and even as a senior, I still make an effort to try and visit you as much as I can even though I had your class sophomore year. Not only was Spanish 3 Pre-IB one of the most fun classes I ever had, but it also did a wonderful job in engaging me in the Spanish culture in a way I have never expected it to. Your guidance and open heart has touched me in many ways, and I can't thank you enough for all that you have done for me! Sending lots of love your way!
