His performance has been socially inhibited as he manages to score despite being in an away stadium and only hearing sounds to put him off. Therefore he has had to optimise his arousal levels to able to score. England were 2-1 down and she missed which led to them losing and not going through to the final. This was a big moment because the last 2 world cups England had lost both semi finals and if she scored this penalty then it would of put them with a chance of winning it this time. Her performance was socially inhibited by the situation, partly the pressure as it was a massive moment but also things like you can hear the crowd shouting things at her. Jofra Archer was chosen to bowl in which is first ball was a wide. He was socially inhibited as he had mass amount of pressure on him as he had the biggest impact on how this over was going to go. He had high arousal levels due to crowd and stress levels. This could of effected his concentration and ability to perform in the tense situation. He’s an autonomous performer who  should never bowl wides, in which he very rarely did through out the competition. He would be facing  anxiety during this which would of had an effect. My clip is of the Hollie Webb's decisive penalty which she scored winning GB women's hockey team a gold medal at the Rio Olympics. They played the Netherlands who were the current world champions.  After finishing the match 3-3 the decision came down to shuffles.  This clip shows an autonomous athlete performing at an optimum level of arousal, whilst being reliant upon her dominant response to be executed correctly within a high pressure situation.  Although neither team had a huge advantage in venue as they were both far away from home, she was able to channel/ focus her concentration in a way the spectators were unable to inhibit her from achieving the objective goal.  ]]> 2020-04-24 15:14:43 UTC https://padlet.com/mark_barrington/ynrny6hgfnbs6xuw/wish/528624924
