1. Reflective practice is rewinding the day or week and pausing at moments where you revisit the good, bad, and ugly.

2. I think reflective practise is a valuable asset to have. Personally and professionally, I use reflective practice to work on my actions, words, thoughts and check the areas in which I can improve or develop personally and professionally.

3. My barrier will be a lack of time. Many times when I manage to settle the things I need to do it will already be time for bed with the to-do lists of tomorrow awaiting you. One way I think I can overcome it is to intentionally set aside time to reflect be it 5 minutes or 30 minutes.

1.Revisit past experiences / events and analyse what went wrong and what was well done. Give thought on how not to repeat the 'wrong' or how to even better for the "well done". The 'KISS' approach can be applied.
2. It is through looking things at different perspective and with new ideas that situations can be improved in the future.
It can be applied in both our personal life and profession.
3. a. too many past experiences and don't know what to focus on. Overcome - prioritise them and reflect on a timing basis.
  b. RP may lead to changes in future action. Rigid and reluctant to change.
Overcome - Have open mindset and focus on future long term benefit derived from improvement.

1. Reflective practice is a continuous learning process in which an individual ponders on and critically thinks through his/her actions to develop personally and professionally.

2. Reflective practice enables an individual to reflect on what he/she has experienced, thereby leading to learning and personal growth. In short, reflective practice assists educators to ponder on and examine their actions as well as experiences objectively before using them to enhance their teaching pedagogies.

3. I feel “time” is a key barrier to reflection. Time in this context refers to the lack of time to sit down, focus and critically reflect as well as the tedious process of constantly reflecting on one’s practices. While I acknowledge the advantages of reflective practice, the whole process is time-consuming. However, one of the ways that I will try to overcome this barrier is to reflect before going to bed. This means putting aside some time, about 10 to 15 minutes before engaging in other tasks that I enjoy (delayed gratification).

1. Reflective Practice to me is evaluating and learning through the experiences that I have gathered, and to decipher the skills that I have done right and the ones that I would need to pay more attention to. 2 . Using Reflective practice will enable me to see the things that I have done right and it will give me some form of directions in the ways that I can further improve my skills. 3. I believe my barrier when it comes to implementing reflective practice would be accepting the outcome but not putting in the effort to change the outcome, Because of not knowing how to change the outcome. Maybe talking to someone like my friends or colleagues would give me some form of direction.

1. Reflective practice is reflecting at the end of the day or after a certain period of time. To reflect means to think about the things that happened. To practice means continuously reflecting and improving ourselves.

2. Personally, I think reflective practice helps me to grow as a person, to improve upon my own character flaws, and to see how I could have responded or dealt with things differently. Professionally, reflecting after a day of work, after a lesson helps me to improve upon the lesson. If the lesson is good, I can repeat it again to help my students learn or even refine it to make it better, or share ideas with other colleagues. If the lesson was not as good, I can find out and think of ways to help the students learn better, or seek other teachers for help.

3. Barrier to reflective practice is time. I always don't have enough time because I'm occupied by many things. Have to make time for it, perhaps after a certain lesson or after a "bad" day - to find out how I can make things better.

1) To think about our experiences and learn from them. By thinking about what we went through, we can think of why we did what we did and what we could have done or do differently if it ever occurs again. This allows us to develop new ideas and use these ideas to better ourselves and skills.

2) Personally, I believe that when we reflect on an experience, we tend to practise more logical thinking than letting our emotions take over. This is because when we reflect, we take ourselves out of the situation and are no longer thinking or acting on impulses. Hence, it allows us to look at things from different perspective and take nuances into account. In saying that, we are more conscious of biases and discriminations, and this maximizes our opportunities to learn and grow from our experiences.

Professionally, reflective practice allows us to look at the bigger picture instead of focusing on our mini goals. When we can visualize the end results, we can make adjustments along the way while simultaneously keeping ourselves up to date with new skills and knowledge. These continuous thinking of our experiences allow us to strengthen our strategies to achieve desirable results to meet our end goals.

3) One of my barriers of not practising reflective thinking is having no time. However, I believe that I can set aside a few minutes to think about my experiences on a weekend basis. Furthermore, a learning mindset could also help me overcome this.
