We decided to do this because the original activity was very dull therefore not engaging, so by asking students to do it in pairs they would be encouraged to discuss the questions and negotiate meaning. Also, the questions from this activities were rephrased and instead of them being about young people in general, we narrowed them down to their own experiences so they would feel identified with the text.

The While Reading activity was also changed, as the questions were very "formal" and looked for specific information in the text, which they will keep doing throughout the rest of the activities (that you can't see) that are related to this text, so we decided to add questions that prompt their own reflection about the text to provide them with a wider variety of activities. Also, we again made emphasis on questions that were related to their own experiences and opinions.

Also, we used the strategy related to the use of different materials and added a different page to complement the two previous activities. Also they were fun activities that can be carried out with almost any topic. Nevertheless, they have to be accompanied by a good deal of imagination and creativity. This way the students not only practice their speaking skill but also play with their imagination, making the activity more fun by adding a little bit of themselves to it.

We tried to provide them with options of places to visit so as to make them feel involved in the activity and that it was not something completly imposed to them.

In our case we gave them three texts to choose from. Also we think that this thematic unit is key for their future, that is why we provided with texts that will give them another perspective for them to have more tools to make decisions regarding their professional future. Apart from it, we wanted to give them material that they could understand, that is why we adapted some surveys that we found on the internet to make them more accessible according to their language proficiency.
We believe that peer work is key when it comes to teaching under the communicative approach, so we gave them a purpose to communicate. In relation to the MINEDUC we think that working all the abilities together is highly demanding, but done appropriately, students can carry out the mixed skills tasks without noticing it. In terms of the warm up video, we thought it would be quite interesting and catchy for them to have a video without spoken language, we thought of their language constraints and this video seemed perfect to communicate the message of following your dreams without the need of words. 
Regarding the DUA, we wanted to implement the threefold model of education, imitation, guided interaction and free experimentation. Imitation would be  done by the teacher through the modeling of the activities, guided interaction is mostly the study part in which they perform tasks with the teacher monitoring and finally free experimentation is when they finally get to use the language to produce something with it.
