Tier 3 is the most severe behaviors and intervention is designed to create lasting and positive behavioral changes to correct extreme behaviors or consistently destructive behaviors. These include lashing out at teachers or admins repeatedly or other more destructive behaviors. Interventions are classified in three different tiers according to the depth and consistency of actions taken to help the student. Tier 1 refers to actions taken during instructional time. Tier 2 involves individual conferences with the students and calling home. Tier 3 includes the participation of other school personnel to assist the student.
